CD PHOTO ARCHIVING

CD Archiving is a new way to keep your irreplaceable images in a safe place. If you were to have a fire, or a burglary in your home or office, or be hit by a severe storm, a hurricane or tornado, how many of the important and literally priceless and irreplaceable images - portraits, photographs, prints, and other visual media - would survive? Do you have duplicates or negatives elsewhere? Just think, if you had all these images stored on CD discs, in your bank in a safe deposit box, chances are, none of those images would be lost forever. Of course, to archive them on CD, you would need photographs of some of them: the paintings, and the prints, particularly if they're larger than 11.5x17 inches, currently the largest economy flatbed scanner capability. If you don't have negatives for the photos stored somewhere away from your home or office, you can either have new made, by paying the photo shop to photograph the images if you don't feel competent to do it, or . . . . or you can scan them, and store them on your computer... IF you have enough drive space, and/or can write to CDs. Even then, you should store the files and/or negatives elsewhere, and the best place is in a bank, in your safe deposit box. Or....

You could use our service.

CD Image Archiving.

We scan your photograph(s), and other image(s), and put the resulting high-quality image(s) in full color or black and white, whichever is appropriate, on CD(s). Stored in a jewel case, a CD in a bank vault (where your safe deposit box is) is good for a hundred or more years. So if you lost those important images in some calamitous event.. a fire, a tornado, a burglary.. you could have them restored simply by taking the CD to your local printshop with digital capability, and having them print the images from the CD. Or by having us do it, if you are nearby.

Many of our clients ask that reconstructed images we provide them also be preserved on CD, to insure their priceless memories are fire/storm/burglary proof.

Don't forget to ask us to Archive your reconstructed or repaired photo images on CD.
