Below are samples of work done by Eagle Graphics. The before and after pictures are displayed here, with permission of the clients involved.
|
Original
This 55 year old photo was
rolled in a tube for 54 years. When removed, it shattered. No
other service would attempt a repair on it, due to the extensive
cracking and severe damage to all areas of the photo. Its owner
brought it to Eagle Graphics. |
|
Repaired Photo
This photo required in excess
of 120 hours to repair, and colorize. Eagle Graphics took on
this repair to prove what other services said was impossible..
wasn't. We restored a real 55 year old memory to an old soldier
who gave much to his country. |

Original
We were assigned this portrait
to repair for the sad event of the client's mother's funeral.
The original portrait was under glass, and had been water-damaged.
It was stuck to the glass, and the client had tried unsuccessfully
to remove it, and this attempt had damaged the photo more. We
used a special process to remove the glass, after scanning the
image first: this image. But a second scan after the glass was
removed yielded no improvement, since the damage had loosened
all the film's emulsion before we got the portrait, and there
was, unfortunately, no possibility of salvaging the loss. Our
repair was then based on this scanned image.

Repaired Photo
Since there was insufficient
detail to duplicate the original blouse in the portrait, we painted
in other detail, as directed by our client. We also had a second
photo of the client on which to base details of teeth, lips,
and chinline, which were also digitally painted into the scanned
image in the reconstruction. This image is the result of that
reconstruction. |

Original Photo #1
An example of placing a person
into another picture started with this picture, a client's childhood
picture in black and white, showing her in western style clothing
on her front porch |
|
Original Photo #2
This is the client's fiance,
at about the same age, cropped from a family picture, in color.
The client asked us to put her fiance in the picture of her and
keep the doll buggy in the picture. |
|
Final Edited Photo
The picture of the little
boy was inserted into the client's picture, alongside the client,
and behind the buggy, retaining the detail of the buggy, in black
and white. The final image was printed in an 8x10 format, for
a Christmas gift for both the client's mother and her fiance's
mother, and was done in black and white. |
|
The client wrote this about
the picture (from email received):
"Pat,
What an excellent job you did on combining the childhood pictures
of my fiance and me. Our mothers will really be surprised at
Christmas time. I was very impressed. I took the photos around
and showed everyone what a great job you did, they were all impressed.
Thanks again, you do great
work!
CJ" |
